MaxCut Optimization via varQITE (IonQ)

3rd Place — FLIQ 2025 Science Track (Individual)

Designed optimal variational ansätze and Hamiltonians for solving the NP-hard MaxCut problem using Variational Quantum Imaginary Time Evolution (varQITE). Benchmarked convergence and noise behavior on IonQ real quantum hardware.

Developed a quantum analogue of Neighborhood Preserving Embedding that preserves local manifold structure using swap-test KNN, QSVD, and variational eigensolvers. Evaluated embedding quality for downstream quantum ML tasks.

Designed novel quantum feature maps including Alternating Entanglement Feature Map (AEFM) and Strongly Entangling Feature Map with Hadamard (SEFM-H). Demonstrated improved classification performance on the Iris dataset.

Quantum Walks & Monte Carlo (WISER Program)

Implemented a generalized quantum circuit that generates Gaussian-like distributions through superposition of quantum walk trajectories, inspired by Carney & Varcoe (2022). Explored connections between quantum walks and Monte Carlo sampling.

BLP-2025 Bangla Hate Speech Detection

3rd & 6th Place — Shared Task

Built BanglaBERT ensemble models with adversarial training for robust hate speech detection in low-resource Bengali. Ranked 3rd and 6th in the BLP-2025 shared task. Accepted at AACL-IJCNLP 2025 (BLP Workshop).

BaTEClaCor: Bangla Text Error Classification & Correction

EMNLP-BLP 2023

Introduced a dataset of 10,000 Bangla comments for error classification and correction. Achieved 79.1% accuracy with BanglaBERT and ROUGE-L 0.8459 using BanglaT5. Published at the EMNLP 2023 BLP Workshop.
